Caraíva is a tiny costal village in Brazil. Until recently, it was a village without electricity or decent telephone lines. But things are changing. Daniel Vangarde, a French songwriter and producer (known acts include: The Gibson Brothers, Ottowan) living in Caraíva, is currently developing a NGO community website for the village.
Connaxis chose CakePHP to make this community application. The project was 100% custom developed, from the templates to the database. We also created pages where visitors can find information on projects, sponsorship, and volunteering opportunities. After contributing, donators can then follow their project online and connect with the people of the village.
Caraíva Viva is a great website for a very rewarding cause. Connaxis is proud to have been a part of this project.
